The corporation’s success comes after wins at the WorldStar Global Packaging Awards 2022

The corporation that has existed for over 100 years in various legacy companies operates via over 90 facilities throughout the world.

Newsweek included GPI on its list of America’s Most Responsible Companies for the second year in a row thanks to analysis into the company’s “environmental, social, and corporate governance”.

GPI provides fibre-based consumer packaging for the food, beverage, and consumer product industry. The Newsweek list included companies such as FedEx, Adobe, and HP, with the latter ranking top of the list with an overall company score of 93.0.

Forbes also recognised GPI by listing it in its inaugural World’s Top Female-Friendly Companies. The list is generated from feedback from 85,000 women who commented on different aspects of the female employee experience.

Being recognised for a second year by Newsweek for corporate responsibility as well as being included on Forbes’ inaugural list of Top Female-Friendly Companies is a true honour.

Chief executive officer for Graphic Packaging, Michael Doss, says: “Being recognised for a second year by Newsweek for corporate responsibility as well as being included on Forbes’ inaugural list of Top Female-Friendly Companies is a true honour.

“At Graphic Packaging, we are committed to delivering sustainable fibre-based consumer packaging solutions through a high-performance company culture that embraces diversity. We are committed to positive change and advancement of our environmental, social and governance initiatives. The recognitions demonstrate the progress we have made and will continue to drive to benefit all stakeholders.”

The Kellogg’s cereal cartons are made with 20pt coated recycled board with a clay-coated surface

Recently GPI has worked on projects with the likes of Orangina, Budweiser, and Kellogg’s. The work showcases the need for more sustainable and natural alternatives to plastic in order to create holders for glass bottles, fruit and veg carriers, and straw-less drink lids.

GPI’s work with Kellogg’s meant creating a fun dual-purpose product that turned a children’s cereal box into a pop-out play scene/book. The cereal was for the popular children’s characters ‘Shopkins’ and was packaged in a recyclable, fold out board.

The recent work demonstrates the targets of the corporation and its partners to be more interactive, inventive, and eco-friendly.
