FESPA 2020 in Madrid

With FESPA returning to Madrid in March under the theme of ‘an explosion of colour’ Carys Evans asks: “How can visitors benefit from what is on offer at the show?”

Explore the possibilities

Madrid first and foremost is one of the most vibrant and fascinating cities and you’re going to see some incredible applications on the show floor. You’re going to see about 50 individual sessions from the leading experts and we’ve got six really interactive features which will focus on textile, the printed interior market, and a whole variety of other things like colour management.

It’s all about providing opportunities for our community and for our printers and I think that’s really essential. So, if you are a wide-format graphics printer but you may be looking at other sectors and where you can make money, you may want to look at direct-to-garment (DTG), you may want to look at a variety of products that we are moving into, you may want to address your colour management issues or challenges that you have.

What we’ve focused on is making sure that we provide the right content for our community

What we’ve focused on is making sure that we provide the right content for our community. Sports apparel and fast fashion are two of the most dynamic growth applications in our textile printing community. With this in mind, Print Make Wear is the perfect feature for showing our visitors the points in common between these two exciting industries.

We’ve also got the Trend Theatre with leading speakers and of course, as always with FESPA, the latest launches from all the companies and more exhibitors than you will see at any other show in Europe from a wide-format and speciality print perspective. So, there are so many things to see.

A digital transformation

Jan De Roeck, director of marketing, industry relations & strategy Esko

Having recently unveiled our industry-first Digital Maturity Model, we’re viewing this year’s FESPA expo as an opportunity to underline how Esko can guide delegates on their own digital transformation journey.

We will be using the event to connect with converters from across the globe, not only showcasing our latest and award-winning integrated software and hardware solutions, but also explaining how businesses can equip themselves to improve productivity, efficiency and overall profitability through a complete digital transformation.

This year’s event is expected to host more than 600 exhibitors and welcome more than 18,000 industry professionals through the doors of the IFEMA Exhibition Centre in Madrid. That presents an exciting opportunity to demonstrate not only individual solutions, but importantly how they combine to unlock new heights of efficiency as part of a connected digital ecosystem.

We will be using the event to connect with converters from across the globe

At Booth A10 in Hall 7, the Esko team will be demonstrating how ArtiosCAD Preflight automatically alerts designers to potential design issues before printing, ensuring increased operational uptime and efficiency. The new Esko approval software Share & Approve, which enables anyone in a workflow to upload, share, annotate and approve jobs in 2D and hyper-realistic 3D will also be on show, together with our workflow server Automation Engine. Finally, the ecosystem display will be completed by demonstrations of the new, fully upgradeable Kongsberg X Edge digital finishing table.

We look forward to welcoming customers new and old to visit Esko to discover how to digitize, automate and connect.
