Komori Corporation will debut its new 29” sheetfed UV inkjet digital press, the J-throne 29 at drupa 2024.
Offering printing speeds of 6,000 sheets per hour for single-sided printing, Komori says the J-throne 29 offers “the world’s highest-class ROI”. For double-sided printing, the press achieved 3,000sph.
The new launch broadens the manufacturer’s digital press portfolio which comprises the Impremia IS29s 29” sheetfed UV inkjet digital press, and the Impremia NS40 40” sheetfed nanographic printing system.
According to Komori, the J-throne 29’s printing speeds of 6,000sph in single-sided printing are the fastest printing speeds in the B2+ inkjet press class.
The newly developed UV ink is also compatible with a range of substrates including coated and uncoated paper and paperboards with no pre-treating.
The maximum size sheet the J-throne can process is 585mm x 750mm and up to a thickness of 0.06-0.6mm for single-sided and 0.06-0.45mm for double-sided.
This makes it well-suited to the commercial, packaging, and specialty print sectors.
Drupa 2024 will take place from May 28th to June 7th in the Dusseldorf Exhibition Centre, Germany.
