The device prints onto rolls up to 3.3m wide, or simultaneously and independently on two separate 1.6m rolls in dual mode. It can also print onto a wide range of flexible media.

The printer comes also features UV LED curing technology, while its Oberon 1470 inks have achieved the highest category of Greenguard Gold certification with regard to chemical emissions.

Accompanying the Agfa Oberon RTR3300 will be a second Fotoba XLD 320HS cutter to trim products printed on the new printer.

According to Solopress, the new purchases will increase capacity, speed up production and broaden the range of products across its large-format offering.

Jack Clifford, head of operations at Solopress, comments: “By integrating the Oberon RTR3300 into our workflow, we’re further expanding our capacity to deliver fast-turnaround, high-quality, large-format print.

“In conjunction with the additional Fotoba cutter, the investment has made effective improvements to the efficiency and sustainability of our large-format production.

“The versatility of the new set-up will also allow for more diverse and cost-effective product options in the future.”
