Epson unveils new high speed printheads

Epson has announced the launch of its new T-series printheads, designed to offer users the ability to high-quality print at high speed.

The printheads will come to market in the second half of the year

Due for launch in the second half of the year, the printheads are the first from Epson to feature a built-in heater for UV applications, which Epson says expands the range of possible applications, especially within the signage and packaging markets.

The T3200-U3 enables simultaneous, four-colour CMYK printing at high speed from a single printhead, while the T1600-U3 offers a two-colour option for users.

In addition, both printheads have a print width of 67.2mm and a piezoelectric actuator to enable the ejection of larger ink droplets at higher frequencies

The new products expand Epson’s PrecisionCore printhead offering to a six series line-up.

“The two new products will accelerate the digitisation of signage printing and provide customers with an environment in which high-quality, high-speed printing can be more easily implemented,” Epson says.

“Epson will continue to develop original technology to contribute to the expansion of its customers’ businesses and further accelerate inkjet innovation.”
