RISO launches the VALEZUS T2100

VALEZUS is a new brand of inkjet printers aimed at the production print market, beginning with successive rollouts of the brand’s first product, the VALEZUS T2100.

The high-speed, full-colour cut-sheet inkjet printer connects printer engines to print the front and reverse side respectively, whilst achieving a duplex printing speed of 320ppm. The T2100 offers a compact footprint for a production printer and is capable of handling short-run jobs.

Tatsuo Murakami, managing director of RISO UK, comments: “The VALEZUS T2100 opens a world of new possibilities in cut-sheet printing, and I am delighted that it will be debuted at The Print Show, where it will be a star attraction.

“In high-volume printing applications, such as transactional printing at print-service-providers, in-house printing at financial institutions, insurance companies and government offices, speed, efficiency and accuracy is paramount. The VALEZUS T2100 takes production printing with inkjet to the next level.”

The VALEZUS T2100 is equipped with two high-capacity feeder/stacker units, each capable of feeding and stacking up to 4,000 sheets. The two units can be switched while the printer is active, which allows users to load/unload without stopping the job.

The production printer incorporates an inkjet system that adopts oil-based inks to ensure an energy saving operation, as it takes away the need for ink-drying heaters required for water-based inks, and unlike toner-based technologies, there is no heat fixing process required.

Set to make its debut at The Print Show in September, RISO will launch the new brand at PRINTING United in Texas, US, in October, with rollout beginning in autumn 2019 for the North American and European markets.
