Zenith nets Versafire hat-trick

Zenith Group has invested in three new Heidelberg Versafire digital presses as it seeks to boost both its digital printing productivity and versatility.

The new digital presses replace three Ricoh presses and join an existing Heidelberg Linoprint CV at Zenith Group

A Versafire EP and five-colour Versafire EV have arrived at the firm’s Pontypool plant, with the final Versafire EV four-colour device to be installed in the repro department for proofing work next month.

The triple purchase is the latest in a line of investments over the past 18 months, including a B1 Speedmaster XL 106-8-P Push to Stop press, hybrid Speedmaster XL 106-5+LX3, a Stahlfolder BH56 and a Promatrix 106FC foiling and cutting device.

John Mooney, group managing director at Zenith Group, says: “By taking the Heidelberg digital presses we can run with their dedicated Digital Front End, have the advantage of their colour know-how and use our Prinect software to output as easily to the digital presses as we can to the litho presses. Plus we trust the advice and support we receive from Heidelberg.”

The Zenith Print Group includes Zenith Media, C3 Imaging and Zenith Print & Packaging.
