Green-minded volunteers from its Huddersfield branch demonstrated their commitment to maintaining biodiversity in the area by removing small shrubs and trees from the reedbed and grassland at RSPB Fairburn Ings Nature Reserve in Castleford. This helps maintain the habitat required for wildfowl to thrive.

In Redditch, employees armed with litter pickers helped to clean up Redditch Borough Council’s lakes and parks by taking part in its ‘Litter Warden Scheme’. Up North in Nottingham, employees are preparing to visit care homes to provide company for the elderly.

The ‘Day to Make a Difference’ campaign was set up shortly after the company began manufacturing window envelopes that are completely biodegradable and recyclable.

Our 'A Day to Make a Difference' campaign gives our colleagues the opportunity to go out into local communities and do their part

Adare SEC is in the top 15% of the world’s most sustainable communications companies, as awarded by global independent corporate social responsibility (CSR) assessment agency, EcoVadis. As environmental issues are taking priority, Adare’s goal is to rank in the top 5% by 2020.

Rachael Nevins, chief executive officer of Adare SEC says: “Our ‘A Day to Make a Difference’ campaign gives our colleagues the opportunity to go out into the local communities and do their part and we’re very proud of the difference they are making.”
