Each year, the Great British Entrepreneur Awards celebrates and acknowledges the hard work of entrepreneurs and businesses, big and small.

As well as growing Essential Print Services to serve over 1,500 customers, Gorman has a passion for community and is a director of Marketing Derby, a founding member of Derby Hub, a Small Business Saturday UK champion, as well as having recently launched the East Midlands’ first ever ‘Happy Café’.

Gorman has also launched a series of free Essential workshops for customers to help them build and improve their businesses – affirming her dedication to both the community and her customer base.

...the company is one of the most positively reviewed, non-ecommerce printers in the UK, proving that small businesses can make a big impact

“I can’t quite believe it,” Gorman comments. “It’s such an amazing recognition to have been shortlisted. I’m incredibly proud of Essential Print Services and the work I do within the Derby community, and I couldn’t have achieved it all without my fantastic customers.

“Customer experience is at the heart of everything we do. As a result, the company is one of the most positively reviewed, non-ecommerce printers in the UK, proving that small businesses can make a big impact.”

Over the last four years, the firm has averaged a 5% year-on-year sales increase. According to the firm, part of its success is based on the principle of a client account never exceeding 10% of the company’s turnover – preventing payment issues impacting the business.
