Harrison was most recently account manager for the folding carton segment at HP, and also had a three-year spell as sales manager converting at Friedheim.

Earlier in his print career, Harrison spent time with Heidelberg in Australia as its packaging product manager, and thus brings plenty of experience to his new role at Komori.

“I’m delighted to be spearheading UK and Ireland sales of Komori’s inkjet digital printing and post-press systems, in particular the Impremia IS29 inkjet press and Highcon Euclid digital cutting and creasing equipment along with Komori’s Apressia guillotines and handling equipment,” Harrison says.

I’ve seen in the field amazing potential for the Impremia IS29 with its exceptional credentials to print offset quality and offset-matching promotional and packaging products

“I’ve seen in the field amazing potential for the Impremia IS29 with its exceptional credentials to print offset quality and offset-matching promotional and packaging products.

“With a colour gamut even wider than offset, the ability to print on just about all paper-based and plastics substrates without any need to prime the material along with instant UV drying, it’s opening up whole new marketing options.”

Steve Turner, director of sheetfed sales at Komori UK, adds: “With increasingly lively interest and enquiries on our digital systems and the Komori Corporation’s commitment to expand further into digital and finishing, it’s most timely that we’ve been able to recruit such an experienced and highly respected manager and we’re certain that John will help us grow sales of our existing and future products in such a vibrant and exciting market.”
