Berrisford-Smith is head of economics for HSBC UK Commercial Banking and also a regular speaker at specialist events. After his presentation, Berrisford-Smith will hold a Q&A session with visitors, opening up the floor for debate on the current economic situation in the UK.

Hosted by Apex and Intelligent Finishing Systems, the Real Print and Finish Open House will take place from April 17th to 19th in Hemel Hempstead, with Berrisford-Smith speaking on the middle day.

Apex managing director Bob Usher says: “This is a fantastic opportunity to gain some valuable insights into the likely consequences of Brexit for the UK economy and any UK print business, from a truly knowledgeable source.”

Meanwhile, organisers have also revealed that a number of new partners will be in attendance at the event. MIS supplier Tharstern and binding specialist Ashgate Automation will both be on hand to talk visitors through some of their latest kit.

Tharstern will be running MIS demonstrations at Real Print and Finish to show visitors how its solutions can fit into print production setups, while Ashgate will be on hand to showcase a selection of products, including the Kasfold 640 A4 landscape bookletmaker that can produce up to 1,500 books per hour.

Amanda Newman, marketing manager at Tharstern, says: “We are pleased to have the opportunity to attend, having worked closely with key players on recent installations.”
