Artist Daniel Egnéus features in the visual book for Oikos

Oikos uses 50% recycled content and 50% pure environmentally friendly, FSC-certified fibre paper with a fine fleck on both sides. The natural paper demonstrates a high degree of whiteness without the use of optical brightening agents (OBAs).

Available in two formats and five weights from 80gsm to 300gsm, Oikos has been launched with a visual book featuring illustrations from Swedish artist, Daniel Egnéus.

The Oikos book was saddle stitched and printed using four-colour offset, with a pearlescent varnish and partial metallic pink hot foil to finish. Egnéus’ work reflects a watercolour style that creates “kaleidosciope-like ornaments” of the human form.

Oikos is a wonderfully natural looking paper with excellent environmental credentials

Pari Blackbeard, head of marketing and promotion at Fedrigoni UK, comments: “Oikos is a wonderfully natural looking paper with excellent environmental credentials, that also has a high degree of whiteness without the use of OBAs.

“Oikos is suitable for all the main printing systems – offset, letterpress, screen-printing – and offers both text and cover weight options for print publications.

“There are some wonderful examples of four-colour offset printing on Oikos, including the Most Voted Online winning entry at this year’s Fedrigoni Top Award by Studio PRINTMYSOUL for their project, Plant Therapy.”
