The photo series by Indira Flack at the new Silverstone Experience Centre features a unique collection of almost 90 portraits celebrating the lives of the UK’s racing drivers from karting to Formula 1.

Wanting to show her subjects in a new and creative light, Flack was searching for a way to experiment with different angles, lighting and colour management in the print production process.

To do this, an Epson SureColor P20000 was used to print the photographs. According to Epson, the SureColor P20000, along with camera-controlled paper stabiliser and a new MicroTFP printhead, are ideal for creating large-format photos quickly and accurately.

Epson’s technology and technical assistance in the photographic print production process was so very critical in achieving this

What’s more, a new UltraChrome Pro ten-colour ink-set helps to achieve vibrant looking prints with blacks produced deeper and richer due to new high-density Photo and Matte Black inks.

Commenting on the collaboration, Flack says: “I hope when you stand back and look at the prints on show at the exhibition, they have all captured a genuinely unique aspect of some of the most celebrated sports people in the world.

“Epson’s technology and technical assistance in the photographic print production process was so very critical in achieving this, as I was able to seamlessly marry the purity of each captured shot and the final creative outcome I had for it in my mind.”

Nick White, business manager for Professional Graphics at Epson adds: “Indira has all the characteristics of a great Epson Ambassador and customer – someone who aims to ‘exceed their vision’ and is constantly pushing themselves to redefine their creativity without compromising on the quality of the end product in the process.”
