Labelexpo takes place in Brussels each year

This year, Bobst is preparing to bring its newest innovations together in one place at the event.

In partnership with its digital printing competence centre Mouvent, BOBST will showcase four complete digitalised production processes on a digital native press using water-based inks, a UV/flexo hybrid printing machine, and a DigiFlexo press.

The technology that will be on show includes Ink-on-Demand (IoD), Highly Automated Liquid (HAL) and DigiColor, all of which Bobst describes as “game-changing solutions that will set a new course for the industry’s future”.

It is these three innovations that Bobst says has paved the way for the launch of its new hybrid Flexo featuring Mouvent digital technology.

The hybrid, which is being premiered at the show, is described as a machine that “opens a new era in the production of self-adhesive labels with totally new standards of productivity and profitability”.

Also on display will be the M5 IoD/DigiColor capable of transforming flexo printing into a completely digitised process whilst simplifying colour matching.

The new solutions on display at Labelexpo set completely new standards to help converters and brand owners improve time-to-market, guarantee colour consistency and food packaging safety

The LB702-WB digital label printer from Mouvent will also be on show demonstrating an advance in the use of 100% water-based inks by the Bobst company, making it free of volatile organic compounds and food safe.

BOBST’S M1X inline UV flexo press will also be on display. The machine is a partially fixed configuration machine, 370mm in web-width and was developed with automation and connectivity in mind.

Jean-Pascal Bobst, chief executive officer of BOBST, comments: “This really is the complete package. The new solutions on display at Labelexpo set completely new standards to help converters and brand owners improve time-to-market, guarantee colour consistency and food packaging safety.

“At BOBST, we never stop innovating, and this year’s event will be a very clear reflection of that philosophy. We look forward to seeing everyone in Brussels.”

Labelexpo 2019 will take place from September 24th to 27th in Brussels, Belgium.
