Drupa 2020 expects to attract more than 250,000 visitors from around the world

The Drupa touchpoint 3D fab+print will feature some 80 presentations each day, with visitors in attendance able to gain an insight into the technology and learn of the opportunities available in the market.

The VDMA has had a presence at Drupa since 2016, but next year will mark the first time that it will take the lead on the 3D print seminar programme.

Rainer Gebhardt will serve as project leader of the working group and assume responsible for the content planning of the conference. He is keen for exhibitors to join visitors in attending some of the sessions to find out more about 3D print.

“It is important for us to pick up the Drupa visitors where they are in additive manufacturing,” he says, adding: “Additive design and manufacturing create scope for creativity in many industries. From this point of view, the technology also fits in perfectly with Drupa.”

We are open to suggestions and will find opportunities in the ten-day program to provide a forum for AM applications from the traditional print and packaging industry

Gebhardt also says that he is looking to work with the industry to put together a conference programme that addresses all key questions about 3D printing.

“We are open to suggestions and will find opportunities in the ten-day program to provide a forum for AM applications from the traditional print and packaging industry,” he says.

Drupa 2020 will take place from June 16th to 26th at Messe Düsseldorf in Germany.
