TheIJC returns to the US for second edition

Organised by ESMA (European Specialist Printing Manufacturers Association) and Digital Direct Technologies in partnership with Drupa, TheIJC is coming back to the US with industrial presentations and technical lectures on the latest developments in inkjet technology.

Organisers are now calling for companies and research institutes to submit their presentation abstracts for consideration. Any companies involved in the development of inkjet technology are encouraged to submit presentations on any topic related to inkjet chemistry, engineering or applications.

The European edition was launched in 2014 and since its continuous growth in attendee and company numbers, TheIJC decided to bring its event to the US in 2018. The conference covers all factors that influence print system performance and productivity with 40 presentation slots scheduled for the 2019 event.

In isolation each of these topics are quite straight forward, but it is their interaction and a weakness in any one of them that will affect system performance

“Inkjet and digital encompass a diverse range of topics and technologies, including precision engineering, chemistry, electronics, software, database management, hydraulic systems, surface science, colour management, inkjet printheads and of course, a huge knowledge about the specific application,” says TheIJC co-founder Steve Knight.

“In isolation each of these topics are quite straight forward, but it is their interaction and a weakness in any one of them that will affect system performance. Just as we start to understand one area, we discover several more to explore,” Knight adds. “To know where to start is always a challenge. TheIJC offers guidance for both newcomers and professionals from specific domains who want to broaden their expertise.”

TheIJC USA takes place at the Crowne Plaza Chicago O’Hare Hotel from May 22nd – 23rd, 2019.
