Printer left high and dry by 'Bonny and Clyde'

A printer in Spain has pointed the finger at the notorious ‘Bonnie and Clyde’ of the print industry saying they have not been paid approximately £10,000 for work.

The printer says they have not been paid by the Paper Back Printer

The printer (who wishes not to be named) says they were contacted by ‘Ted’ of the online print firm Paper Back Writer (www.paperbackprinter.co.uk). Initially Ted paid for work upfront but once trust was gained, he requested and was granted a 30 day credit facility. Once in place, a much larger order was placed and to the dismay of the print firm it has not been paid. They contacted Print Monthly to say that the print broker based in Barry in Wales did not answer his phone or respond to emails. The firm is now considering what measures to take to recover the money.

Around 50 signed an open letter to the authorities to demand action

This publication has been contacted by more 100 unhappy customers of Neill Malcolm Stuart John (one half of the Bonnie and Clyde tag) to report a long list of lost money, undelivered print jobs, shoddy printing, unreturned deposits and unpaid bills. Around 50 signed an open letter to the authorities to demand action but so far he continues to take on print broking work through his various websites. This publication understands two customers who took action through the courts were successful, but others have failed due there not being enough evidence or the case was dismissed as a business dispute.

John has contacted Print Monthly in the past to deny any bad practice and to say refunds have been made when appropriate.
