The Print Coach set for keynote at The Print Show

Nick Devine, AKA The Print Coach, has been named as a keynote speaker for The Print Show 2018, while organisers have confirmed a host of new additions to the exhibitor list.

Nick Devine, AKA The Print Coach, has helped print companies across the UK to improve their business and has been a key highlight of The Print Show’s Business Seminar Theatre since its founding

The Print Show 2018 will take place from September 18th to 20th at the NEC in Birmingham. The fourth edition of the UK’s leading print event will feature a wide selection of leading exhibitors from across the industry: over all key areas such as commercial print and wide-format print.

Xeretec (Xerox), Xeikon, printMAX, X-Press OnDemand, Blackman and White, Rollem, Nova Chrome, Inno Printer, Stanford Marsh Group and Wildcard Software all among the latest companies to The Print Show 2018.

Since its launch in 2015, The Print Show’s ethos has been to educate visitors and help them grow their business. This theme very much continues with the 2018 show and Devine will focus on new business selling and how this process can be simplified during his keynote presentation.

One of the most popular figures in UK print, Devine has a 35-year background in sales, sales management and business management. Having worked in four countries across 14 different industries, Devine has amassed an impressive knowledge of sales and the most effective selling techniques.

Devine now runs a business growth advice and training company, specifically helping business owners that have a proven product or service and need more sales at higher margins.

“I have taken the best of everything I’ve learned and packaged it into simple, step-by-step systems that produce predictable results,” Devine said. 

He continues: “Our typical client will typically win three new high-end accounts in their first year, and gross margins will increase between two and six percent. They will hire and manage better new business salespeople, and they will protect their best accounts without being forced to discount.

It’s also the best place to look at new pieces of kit that may give you a competitive advantage in your marketplace, or find a piece of production equipment that automates a manual process, or speeds up a time-consuming production job. 

“There’s only so much you can learn by attending a webinar or reading an industry journal. There is nothing better than walking the halls of a tradeshow, looking at the various offerings and talking to 10 to 20 vendors in a single day.”

Finishing the job with quality equipment

Duplo previewed its DuSense Sensory technology at The Print Show 2017 and 
will once again be demonstrating the kit at this year’s event 

Meanwhile, Duplo, one of the leading names in print finishing, has opened up about its plans for The Print Show 2018. The company was in attendance at last year’s event and will return in September to build on previous success. 

Duplo will once again be displaying its DuSense Sensory technology, following a successful preview of the kit last year, as well as some yet-to-be-revealed, new solutions.

Other highlights on the Duplo stand will include its full range of multi-finishers, a selection of binders and its flagship iSaddle and bookletmaker systems—all with their new developments.

Andy Benson, managing director of Duplo UK, comments: “Duplo’s main goal is to demonstrate how we can help add value to print. Of course, we will show some of our latest products as well as enhancements to some our current favourites.

Being back at the NEC is clearly an advantage for most, given its transport links, and we have agreed to take a stand more than double the size of last years to ensure we can show a good representation of the categories and brands we represent in the UK.”

Meanwhile, digital equipment and consumables supplier Ashgrove has revealed it will be displaying the new range of Unibind desktop bookbinding and personalisation equipment/consumables at The Print Show 2017.

Ashgrove recently teamed up with Peleman to offer the technology, which it says is suitable for printrooms throughout the UK. 

The first of these new products to launch is the versatile Unifoil Printer, which is able to print high-definition foiled graphics onto a variety of flat, smooth surfaces such as acrylic and leather. The machine is also able to effectively personalise the full range of hardback bookcovers from Unibind.

Also, due to come to market in the next few weeks is the Casemaker 650, which is billed as a “unique piece of equipment” as it enables fully bespoke, full colour printed, hard cases for books and ringbinders to be created in a few minutes.

Ashgrove will be based adjacent to Peleman at The Print Show and demonstrate the full range of Unibind equipment.
