Ahead of the upcoming Drupa, CyanX has launched a new product, the X-Coater.

CyanX’s new X-Coater offline coating system will allow digital printers to use the award-winning eco-seal aqueous coating product for the first time

The offline coating system will allow digital printers to run CyanX’s award-winning eco-seal aqueous coating for the first time, and provide an offline solution for digital and offset printers. Eco-seal has previously only been able to be applied by offset printers inline.

Although the new X-Coater will not be available to view at this year’s Drupa, the company will debut the X-presser pressing unit—a compatible device for the X-Coater.

The X-Coater is a breakthrough which opens a huge new market for CyanX

“The X-Coater is a breakthrough which opens a huge new market for CyanX,” says Richard Mawson, managing director of CyanX, adding: “We’re delighted that the testing phase has been completed prior to Drupa, which is a great platform for us. Now we have a machine which will apply eco-seal™ irrespective of production method.”

The X-Coater has a touchscreen, and is available in three sizes: 25”, 30”, and 36”. It has a maximum throughput of 4,500sph (25”) and 4,000sph (30” and 36”).

Mawson adds: “The X-Coater will not just deliver quality and productivity – we will also be affordable in comparison to potential alternatives.”

CyanX will also showcase solutions from Ikeuchi humidification systems, Foiltone, and more at Drupa.
