The new Stahlfolder TH82-P is the third of its kind to be installed at Stephens & George

The folder, which can attain a net output of 12,000sph, becomes the third TH82-P to go in at Stephens & George.

The first device was installed for 16pp section work and the second for 32pp work, and the newest machine will now be used to enhance 16pp folding capacity at the company.

Andrew Jones, managing director at Stephens & George, comments: “We are an expanding company, having last year acquired MPC. We have added two binders, two stitchers and five folders in our quest to put through higher volumes, more quickly.

“That’s good for us and good for our customers. This folder is the last piece of the jigsaw.”

Ian Trengrouse, finishing product executive at Heidelberg UK, which Stephens & George purchased the new TH82-P from, also speaks highly of the new purchase, saying that the success of this model has been “staggering”.

Trengrouse says: “The success of the TH/KH 82-P model has been staggering. We are now approaching 100 installations of our ‘P’ machines worldwide.”
