Apex and IFS open house to expand for 2016

‘The Real Print and Finish Open House’ will be held at Apex Digital Graphics’ premises in Hemel Hempstead

Apex will be showcasing a Ryobi 755G B2 five colour offset press equipped with LED-UV curing, which it will demonstrate printing on plastics for the first time this March.

Apex’s sales and marketing director, Neil Handforth, explains: “Appropriately for a show with ‘real’ solutions as its theme, Ryobi’s LED-UV system was the first of its kind and unlike some of the alternatives on the market, it uses genuine LED and is not simply a low power conventional UV system.

Apex will also have Konica Minolta’s C1060 digital press and the CTP range from Cron.

We ran the first ‘Real Print and Finish’ show last March to showcase genuine production solutions, not promises or possibilities – and encouraged visitors to challenge us to produce real work samples

The IPIA will be on hand to talk to visitors, who can also benefit from event promotions. Graphic Arts Supplies will be showing the KURZ range of metallised foils that will be digitally imprinted using a Foliant Taurus 530SF B2 laminator.

Imprint, KAS Paper Systems, Vpress, Renz, and TSS will also be in attendance, while Premier will supply paper for the duration of the event.

Apex’s managing director, Bob Usher, says: “We ran the first ‘Real Print and Finish’ show last March to showcase genuine production solutions, not promises or possibilities – and encouraged visitors to challenge us to produce real work samples. It worked, so this year we are doing it again, and expanding!”

IFS’ managing director, Bryan Godwyn, highlights the importance of presenting new solutions to customers to allow them to enter new markets. He continues: “Visitors who pre-register for the open house will be given the option of having 'real' high quality digitally foiled business cards produced in a choice of designs which can be collected during the event. Anyone involved in producing high quality business cards with foiling must see this efficient and low cost solution."

IFS will feature the SPF-200L A4 landscape booklet production system, BQ-270V EVA single-clamp perfect binder, BQ-470 PUR 4-clamp perfect binder, AFC-566F fully automatic B2 cross-folder, and CRF-362 digital creaser/folder.
