Kyocera is dedicated to continued environmental efforts

Launched in 1991 by the company’s founder, Dr. Kazuo Inamori, the Environmental Charter has acted as a benchmark for all areas of the business’ operations and has ensured that it contributed to “the advancement of society and humankind”.

This year marks 28 years of the charter and Kyocera is celebrating a strong contribution to the target of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 30% by 2030 which was endorsed by its Science Based Targets initiative.

Looking forward to 2020 and the company will work to achieve three goals: contribution to the realisation of a low-carbon society, contribution to the realisation of a recycling-based society, and contribution to the realisation of a society that coexists with nature.

Sustainability is at the heart of all of Kyocera’s creations and the Environmental Charter helps us maintain that

Nobuki Takada, general manager of the Marketing Innovation Center at Kyocera Document Solutions Europe comments: “Since its creation, Kyocera as an organisation has always strived to ensure that it leads the way when it comes to environmentally responsible solutions.

“Sustainability is at the heart of all of Kyocera’s creations and the Environmental Charter helps us maintain that. The ECOSYS range is a reputable multi-award-winning product that reduces energy consumption. Another example is the energy-saving toner produced by Kyocera, which works at 30ºC less than conventional products, requiring less energy usage.”
