Printful, a company that provides print-on-demand (POD), branding, and creative services for items such as packaging, clothing, and merchandise has recently unveiled plans to move to the UK.

US and Latvian company Printful has chosen the UK as its next location thanks to the ever-growing e-commerce market

The company has previously been recognised as the first ‘unicorn’ start-up in Latvia (a start-up company with a value of over $1 billion/ £742,724,089.40).

The UK expansion means Printful will open a new £2.6 m fulfilment centre in Wolverhampton, with the official launch taking place on January 18th 2022. The new location will create up to 50 jobs and allow Printful to provide fulfilment and deliveries in the UK within just two business days.

The new centre means the ever-expanding customer base in the UK will benefit from substantially shorter shipping times and give them more opportunities to grow their brands.

The company was originally founded in 2013 by Lauris Liberts and Davis Siksnans who started Printful after struggling to find suitable POD drop shipping partners for their former poster business.

Printful has a loyal and growing base of customers in the UK who have anticipated our UK expansion for a while, and we're thrilled to finally do it.

Since their inception the company has grown to a business with over 1,800 staff members, and yearly revenues of around 155 million pounds. Printful now offers customer products and personalised items to shoppers, businesses, and entrepreneurs through North America and Europe.

The UK site is the latest in a series of fulfilment centres open in North Carolina, Latvia, Mexico, Spain, and Canada.

Davis Siksnans, chief executive officer and co-Founder of Printful says: “We chose the UK as our next location because it’s the largest e-commerce market in Europe. Printful has a loyal and growing base of customers in the UK who have anticipated our UK expansion for a while, and we're thrilled to finally do it.”

Skiksnans adds: “It will allow us to significantly shorten shipping times within the UK, making it easy to reach many new customers.”

The facility in Wolverhampton will be around 90,000 sq. ft in size and be a significant addition to the UK print and personalisation markets.
