Amberley Labels relishes in print brief

Amberley Labels, part of the Coveris Group, has produced a limited collection of labelled bottles for Sheffield sauce brand, Henderson’s Relish.

Amberley produced 3,000 limited edition labels featuring artwork by hand lettering artist, Oli Frape

A total of 3,000 labels were produced featuring designs by lettering artist, Oli Frape. The labels are said to have been created using a “first-of-its-kind” print process.

The collaboration with Oli Frape isn’t the first time Amberley has produced special labels. The company created commemorative bottles for Sheffield United and Wednesday football clubs in team colours.

On this occasion, Oli Frape’s label designs were produced as part of a drive by Amberley to raise money for the children’s hospital charity, Bears of Sheffield.

According to the label producer, Amberley is the only manufacturer in the UK to combine creative use of data with hybrid print technology to create ‘one-off’ labels.

Andy Wilson, colour director for Coveris’ Graphics, Labels, and Boards division led the project. He comments: “We are so proud to have worked on this project with both Henderson’s and Oli and hope that our hard work to deliver a completely one-of-a-kind solution really pays off for the charity.

“Having spent the last 18 months investing and trialling new print technology, we have found a new sweet spot for the use of dynamic, data driven personalisation – made possible through the opportunity to be involved in the full creative process.”

Wilson adds: “This has enabled us to really push the technical boundaries of our own print technology through a more inclusive design process.”
