Fedrigoni acquires the Ritrama Group

Fedrigoni has strengthened its position in the specialty paper and pressure sensitive labels markets through the acquisition of the Ritrama Group.

Marco Nespolo, chief executive officer of the Fedrigoni Group says: “Our Pressure Sensitive Labels segment, which is already showing very positive results, will now be larger, broader and more competitive in a market that continues expanding in all segments and geographies, on a global level.”

Ritrama has manufacturing facilities in Italy, Spain, the UK, Chile and China and in the year ended December 31st, 2018 achieved total revenues of around €400m (£352m).

Fedrigoni achieved total revenues of €1.2bn (£1.06bn) in the same period and the addition of Ritrama to its portfolio means it is now one of the largest suppliers of pressure sensitive labels and specialty papers in terms of revenue.

The acquisition will see the combination of Arconvert and Manter labels made with special papers, with Ritrama’s technological expertise applied to self-adhesive plastic films.
