The Delta Group is celebrating a period of success following the release of “record” 2018 sales figures and the appointment of two senior staff members to its executive board.

Last year, the visual communications firm’s sales grew by 15% to £92.6m which is a record for the business. Looking forward, the company invested £3.4m in one-off exceptional costs related to acquisitions.

The firm also centralised its Creative Businesses into one central London hub in order to increase efficiency.

An operating loss of £871,000 was the result of upfront costs for a client win, expansion costs associated with new overseas facilities and the purchase of the UK’s first Nozomi C18000 printer.

Commenting on the results, Jason Hammond, chief executive officer of the Delta Group says: “This outstanding growth was driven by the highly successful acquisition of Superior Creative in August 2017, the win of the exclusive Sainsbury Group contract and increased sales within Europe.

“The latter led to the business securing its highest ranking in the Sunday Times International Track 200 for fast overseas growth.”

As part of the Group’s ongoing growth, two new senior staff members have joined its executive board.
Dean Smith joins the company as chief sales & marketing officer and will be responsible for group sales, bid management, marketing and group strategy.

Tim Ingram-Smith has joined as chief sales & marketing officer and chief information officer and will oversee the Delta Group’s IT and Technology proposition, internally and externally.

Hammond adds: “It is a very exciting time for the company, and everyone involved. We have been looking to fill these group-wide, senior positions for some time and are thrilled that we have managed to secure such well-respected industry ‘heavyweights’ to build on the success of the group and drive the business forward.”
