Hertfordshire Community Trust has teamed up with Y Soft to increase document printing security

Y Soft provides digital solutions to companies to enable them to be more productive and efficient.

With the introduction of GDPR, more organisations are becoming conscious of the way they handle confidential data.

With this in mind, Y Soft installed Y Soft SafeQ which has increased the security in printing any patient-sensitive documents.

Hertfordshire Community Trust has over 40 different sites and previously staff carried sensitive documents from site to site.

The SafeQ includes a Print Roaming feature which allows staff to print documents stored in the NHS system, NHS.net, at any location.

Within SafeQ, there are additional features that we now take for granted. It was another world before YSoft SafeQ

The system also allows guests to print where users can set up their own PIN rather than asking staff to print on their behalf. The encrypted document can be sent from guests’ mobile phones to YSoft SafeQ mobile print server.

With the old system, HCT staff were required to enter a PIN to access documents, but now they simply need to swipe their card.

Declan Doherty, procurement manager at HCT says: “Within SafeQ, there are additional features that we now take for granted. It was another world before YSoft SafeQ.”
