Letter writing kits for friends and family of cancer patients have been designed by Blake Envelopes

In the UK every year there are around 363,000 new cases of cancer and according to Cancer Research, 1 in 2 people born after 1960 will be diagnosed with cancer during their lifetime.

Alison Hitchcock, co-founder of the letter campaign says: “We are very thankful to Blake for being so supportive. Being able to continue to pack our letter-writing kits in Blake Creative Colour envelopes will be wonderful, and it’s great to think that there may be more we can do to work with them in the future.”

From Me To You will be giving out free Big Letter Write Kits for people hoping to reach out to their loved ones in writing. For those who might be struggling to find the words during a difficult time, letter prompts and sample letters will also be provided.

Having lost both my own parents to cancer I have the privilege of holding some of the letters they received from friends which must have been such an encouragement to them. We are glad we are able to help provide this experience for others too

Blake believes that just by sending a letter to patients, this can help them feel supported through their illness when it can be difficult to communicate.

Tim Browning, Creative Director at Blake says: “This incredible charity provides very special moments for persons going through extreme pressure. Having lost both my own parents to cancer I have the privilege of holding some of the letters they received from friends which must have been such an encouragement to them. We are glad we are able to help provide this experience for others too.”
