Inkcups handed the X5 its European launch at FESPA 2019 earlier this month

Featuring up to four Ricoh Gen 5 print heads, Inkcups bills the X5 as the fastest and most productive direct-to-shape UV inkjet printer on the market.

The machine can print on-demand, full-colour prints on flat and slightly curved hard goods up to 150mm, as well as decorate a bed size of 1,100 x 610mm in around two minutes.

The X5 prints CMYK plus two highly opaque UV LED-curable white inks, with an optional varnish for additional visual impact.

In a statement, Inkcups adds: “Designed for heavy-duty industrial printing, the X5 features a rugged design that can handle near-constant use.”

Other key specifications on the X5 include a maximum print quality of 1200dpi as well as being compatible with key software products including Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and CorelDraw.
