The company is making the move to provide faster responses and to offer stronger customer service.

As a provider of customer-specific products, Beck Automation’s core business is the decoration and labelling of lids, tubs, trays, and buckets for both food and non-food applications.

Beck Automation is a long-standing manufacturer having celebrated its 80th anniversary in 2014. With over 50 automated systems produced each year at its Swiss headquarters in Oberengstringen near Zurich, it is hoped that relocating to the UK and Ireland will result in new opportunities.

According to Beck Automation, the choice of the UK and Ireland as its sales and service location was driven by the prospect of “a naturally fast response time, reduced expenditures on service interventions, as well as bringing a new dimension to the local market.”

Based in Oakham in the East Midlands, newly appointed Jim Ward will be the first point of contact for customers in the UK and Ireland on all sales and service related matters.

Ward has over 20-years’ experience in the plastics industry working as a timed service engineer. He will use his experience within in-mould labelling to lead the new UK-based sales and service operations.
