Komori Europe has entered into a new strategic selling agreement with Highcon Systems, in an effort to support, and strengthen its sales network across Europe.

Komori Europe says the Highcon range of digital finishing solutions will be the “perfect complement” to its own collection of offset presses

Under the deal, Komori Europe will install a Highcon Euclid III digital cutting and creasing machine at the Komori Graphic Centre-Europe facility in Utrecht in the Netherlands.

In addition, Komori Europe will now sell and support the entire Highcon product line in the UK, France, Italy, and the Netherlands.

Peter Minis, marketing manager for Komori Europe, comments: “We are very pleased with this partnership that highlights Komori’s commitment to support our customers developing successful business models utilising both offset and digital print, from concept to final product.

“We are convinced that our European customers will benefit from the combined expertise of our two companies, allowing them to develop and deliver innovative applications and a faster time to market.”

We are convinced that our European customers will benefit from the combined expertise of our two companies, allowing them to develop and deliver innovative applications and a faster time to market

In a statement, Komori Europe describes Highcon digital finishing solutions as the “perfect complement” to its collection of offset presses, as well as the new Impremia IS29 inkjet, sheetfed UV printing system.

The company adds: “The Highcon solutions not only remove bottlenecks in the post-press process by dramatically reducing setup time and enabling rapid turnaround of jobs, but also deliver increased design options with the ability to produce intricate cut-outs, etching, variable data cutting, and the promise of accessible Web-to-Pack with the Highcon Axis.

“The potential of this combination is ideal for print providers who want to offer a wide range of commercial and packaging applications.”

Jens Henrik Osmundsen, vice-president global sales at Highcon, also spoke highly of the new partnership and how it will have a positive impact on both companies.

We already have several joint customers and are proud that Komori, with their 100-year focus on reliability and quality, understands the true value that our technology can bring to their customers, whether offset or digital

Osmundsen comments: “We already have several joint customers and are proud that Komori, with their 100-year focus on reliability and quality, understands the true value that our technology can bring to their customers, whether offset or digital.

“We look forward to working together to expand the Highcon customer base.”

Confirmation of the new partnership comes at a busy time for the European print market, with many leading manufacturers vying for the attention, and business, of print companies across the continent.

By joining forces, Komori Europe and Highcon will benefit from utilising each other’s facilities and expansive knowledge of the market to win business.
