The Camping and Caravanning Club is 123 years old and is the world’s oldest and largest organisation for all forms of camping
Walstead UK, a large commercial web offset printing company with over 800 staff across five sites, has celebrated the renewal of a long-standing contract with The Camping and Caravanning Club.
By renewing the print contract for the Club’s monthly magazine, it means the two companies will have worked together for over 30 years.
The magazine has been produced for members of The Camping and Caravanning Club since 1906 and has a circulation of around 327,000.
The publication is produced at Walstead Roche in Cornwall using the facility’s Lithoman and Komori presses as well as the business’s finishing and binding operations.
Jon Hearnden, group sales and business strategy director of Walstead UK, says: “The renewal of this contract with such a long-standing client highlights the continued support and satisfaction of the services Walstead continues to provide its customers.
“We are very happy that the relationship has been extended for a further two years and this renewal is testament to the hard work of all involved at our Walstead Roche facility.”
Rob Ganley, editor-in-chief of Camping & Caravanning magazine, says: “Walstead Roche has printed our Club magazine reliably for many years and we are delighted to have renewed this contract.
“We work closely with the team at Walstead to ensure a high-quality product for our members at the best value, and following a successful redesign for our March 2024 issue we look forward to their continued involvement as we move forward with this new agreement.”
Walstead UK is part of the Walstead Group which is headquartered in London and has revenues of €540m (£462m) in Europe via its 12 production facilities throughout various countries including the UK, Austria, Slovenia, and Czech Republic.
